A sense of humor is a very underrated thing. Studies show that the average four year old laughs 300 times per day while the average 40 year old only four! Our family has always had an edgy, sarcastic sense of humor that was not always seen as a positive to others. Family jokes are the best jokes. They carry over for years and years. They are a glue that binds you together.
Sometimes, a situation is so dire, all you can do is find the humor in it or you'd break down in tears. Sometimes, the best solution is a good laugh. It may not solve the immediate problem, but it can sure help get you through the day.
