Maddy had her first swim meet today. She does so many things and all of them quite well. This may sound like a proud grammie talking and, perhaps it is. It is also very true. Maddy is one of those kids that can be dropped into any setting, any social situation, not knowing a soul, and will come away with three new friends. She is game for anything and willing to try everything. After her first race, where we adults were tense, nervous and fretful, she got out of the pool and proclaimed, "That was so fun!!" If one sentence can sum up a person, that is Maddy's sentence, for sure. She is happy to approach life and all it has to offer as a fun adventure. This will surely serve her well throughout her life.
