I can't tell you how many times I have told my daughter, "Life is messy." It's not my line, but one borrowed from the movie "Parenthood" (circa 1989). The movie is one of my favorites because it is so
real. Things happen. People are disappointed. It's not how you planned it. It all seems more "Plan B" than "Plan A". But, guess what? It's okay! In fact, it's more than okay, it's grand! This wonderful sign reminds us that, not only is life messy, but that messiness is what gives it it's color, it's fun, it's adventure. We wouldn't have it any other way!
